Timeline: Zuma set to face eighth motion of no confidence

Tomorrow, 8 August, Zuma will be facing yet another motion of no confidence. The motion comes after a turbulent period following a cabinet reshuffle and a subsequent downgrade of the economy to junk status.

The motion is being led by the United Democratic Movement (UDM), the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

National Speaker of Parliament Baleka Mbete is allowing a secret ballot and it is the first time a vote of no confidence will be by secret ballot.
